How we met
Sandra is a pharmacist, and Drew is a multi-hyphenate creative. Their paths would never have crossed if not for their Cupids: Nicole and Joe. Joe was playing in a band with Drew and Nicole was Sandra’s first friend in pharmacy school. In July 2019, Nicole invited Sandra to see Joe’s band play at Sneaky Dee’s. After seeing Drew perform for the first time, Sandra was hooked. Unfortunately, she was quite literally left speechless, and it took her years to utter much more than a “Hey, Drew” in their presence.
One fateful night, on December 3rd, 2022, Drew was playing a show at Supermarket that Sandra attended. Freshly recovered from COVID-19 and heavily encouraged by Joe, Drew asked Sandra to dance after their set. They immediately hit it off, and have been inseparable ever since.

The Proposal
Drew and Sandra were on one of regular strolls through the Junction on a rainy but warm day in May 2023. After forcefully guiding their walk towards a bridge that crosses over the Railpath (in not at all a suspicious manner), Sandra asked to take a pause. She told Drew how much she loved them and what they mean to her before proposing. When Drew said yes, it was the happiest moment of Sandra’s life.

Our second date was on New Years Eve 2022 and it lasted 48 hours. After binge watching Fleabag, ordering in ramen and talking about life at Lakeview diner, I knew Drew was the one.
